SGS-Certified Quality
Not your typical cheap, flimsy and unreliable Chinese products!
Y-Tech solves your problems – not create new ones.
Backed by SGS pressure resistance test results, Y-Tech repair clamps remain completely leak-free under 35 kg/cm² (bar) pressure.
For pipefitters and maintenance personnel, encountering a damaged or leaking pipeline—especially in areas where hot work is prohibited or production cannot be halted—is nothing short of a nightmare.
Y-Tech repair clamps are easy to install with just a spanner or allen key, requiring no pipe disassembly and offering reusability. A time-and cost-saving solution you can rely on.
Suitable for virtually all pipe materials including stainless steel, iron, copper, PVC, and ABS—with size options available to match each pipe type.
Our clamps are resistant to strong acids, alkalis, and extreme temperatures, making them ideal for pipelines carrying water, gas, compressed air, steam, powder, oil, and various chemicals.
Dedicated versions are available for straight pipes, bends, and threaded ends.
If you’re unsure about pipe size or compatibility, feel free to contact us for expert advice.
Actual installation process
Many pipe clamps available on the market are low-cost, poor-quality imports from China, with a high risk of leaking again within a short period of time.
Inferior clamps purchased elsewhere often begin to rust or degrade, leading to leaks recurring in no time—wasting both time and money.
Inferior rubber lining deteriorated rapidly, causing cracks, deformation and leaking.
Rusty bolts and casing led to recurring leaks — a clear sign of poor quality.
So, why choose Y-Tech repair clamps over other brands?
They may look similar at first glance—but are they really the same? The devil is in the details.
Below is a detailed comparison between Y-Tech and Brand C which is made in China.
1. Welding Technique
Y-Tech
Utilises automated row welding. Weld spots are large, uniform, and deep, providing superior structural rigidity.
Chinese Product
Manually welded with shallow and uneven weld spots; very poor consistency.
2. Rubber Seal Quality
Y-Tech
Made from high-grade materials with precision moulding. Smooth finish with no burrs, thick and elastic – excellent sealing and durability.
Chinese Product
Rough surface with many burrs, very poor elasticity. High risk of leakage shortly after installation.
3. Seal Cut Finish
Y-Tech
Clean, precise cut with exclusive V-groove auto-aligning design. The tighter it’s fastened, the more precisely it aligns – preventing seal misalignment.
Chinese Product
Rough, uneven hand-cut edges.
4. Seal Joint Design
Y-Tech
Seamless rubber design provides excellent sealing. The join is nearly invisible and can be installed at any angle or orientation.
Chinese Product
Misaligned joint cuts – easily leaks under high fluid pressure.
5. Effective Leak-Stopping Coverage
Y-Tech
Large sealing area – covers a wide leakage surface effectively.
Chinese Product
Sealing range is similar to Y-Tech, but only achieved by sacrificing the side groove width – unstable under pressure and prone to leaking.
6. Screw Head Type
Y-Tech
Exclusive dual-use hex/Allen screw head (for sizes under 4") – compatible with various tools, prevents stripping.
Chinese Product
Low-grade internal hex screws.
7. Structural Integrity
Y-Tech
All parts securely fixed. The rubber seal is bonded to the shell, making installation easy and efficient – no fumbling with loose parts.
Chinese Product
No fixed components – parts are loose and easily scattered during installation.
Suitable for chilled water pipes, fire-fighting pipes, chemical pipelines and more.

2” Chilled Water Pipe
Leak completely resolved after clamp installation.

Pressure Test – Proven High Pressure Resistance
Leak-free under pressure exceeding 35 kg/cm².
Standard Repair Clamp Installation Examples

6” Fire-fighting Riser in High-rise Building
Repaired using a standard repair clamp, without shutting off the fluid or replacing the pipe.

1” Fire Line
Y-Tech standard repair clamps are widely used in fire-fighting systems.
Elbow Repair Clamp Installation Examples

6” Water Supply Elbow Pipe
Y-Tech elbow repair clamp is ideal for curved sections or weld joints between elbows and straight pipes.

4” to 2” Reducer Weld Joint
Slightly curved surfaces (like reducers or tee joints) can be sealed using the elbow repair clamp.
Threaded Joint Repair Clamp Installation Examples

1” Threaded Fire Pipe Connection
When threads connect pipes of different diameters, use the threaded joint repair clamp.

1” Fire Sprinkler Head Joint Leak
Underground car park sprinkler head leak stopped quickly to prevent dripping onto residents’ cars.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the service life of repair clamps?
Under normal usage conditions, repair clamps can last between 15 to 20 years.
Can the clamp be reused?
Yes, the clamp is reusable.
If the leakage occurs at a weld seam, does it require special treatment?
In most cases, it can be installed directly over the weld. However, if the weld bead is too raised, it may need to be ground flat. If unsure, please consult our sales representative.
How do I choose the correct specification?
Measure the outer diameter of the pipe and refer to our clamp size chart to select the suitable model. If uncertain, feel free to contact our sales team directly.
What’s the difference between Standard and Extended repair pipe clamps? How do I choose?
When selecting a clamp for leak repair, ensure that the maximum horizontal width of the crack along the pipe (denoted as S in the diagram) does not exceed the “B” length specified in the product specification table. If the crack is too wide horizontally, please use the Extended Repair Clamp to prevent leakage from both ends.
When should I use a Standard repair clamp? What if the leak is at the joint between a straight and an elbow pipe?
Standard repair clamps are suitable for use on straight pipe sections or at joints between two straight pipes. For leaks at a joint between a straight and an elbow pipe, please use an Elbow repair pipe clamp.
Can the clamp be used when the pipe is close to a wall or another pipe? What is the clamp thickness?
Clamp thickness is calculated using the formula: (T – Outer Diameter of Pipe) / 2. For example, for a standard DN 100 pipe: (144mm – 114.3mm) / 2 = 15mm.
Can these clamps be used on all pipe materials?
They are not suitable for glass pipes or flexible hoses. For hygienic pipes used in food-grade applications, these clamps are not suitable if the internal fluid is food-related.
